breathing again

I am not a runner. But immediately following my two miscarriages, it was the only thing that gave me a "release" from my heartache. I would listen to "not ready to make nice" on repeat THE WHOLE TIME because I, too, was mad as hell. I would just hand my feelings over to "natalie" so that I could just take off. I felt broken but running helped me feel normal. And THEN. Hello, high-risk pregnancy. Good-bye running.

OH but TODAY. TODAY. T.O.D.A.Y. I stepped back onto that same treadmill and I felt like I could breathe again. No one should be surprised that as my legs took off, so did the tears. I just couldn't help myself. It was a "WE MADE IT" moment. I wanted to go back in time and grab that broken girl, hug her tight and promise her that everything was going to be okay.

They may never take long naps, cry/whine/fuss so often that you may question your sanity and why God would only give you two hands when He gives you three children. They may pull emergency buttons on elevators and have police officers tell you that "you have your hands full" but OVERALL everything turned out okay. Praise the Lord.

Now raise your hand if you're with me on the Mercedes Half??!!??
