come friday

it snowed...a lot

and granna and grandaddy were here to enjoy the snow, build snowmen, have snowball fights and let wade and me enjoy a valentine's dinner at flemings!

and our waterproof boots failed us terribly

so we turned back to ol' faithful

inside, Lucy enjoyed her own game of peek........

a boo!

kate did not enjoy much that day - this picture is deceiving, precious but deceiving! we're blaming it on the new molars that she has in her mouth!

and then it happened...the UNTHINKABLE!!??!!....this angel child watched some other terrible, mean, where is the child's mother, little boy come into OUR yard and destroy the snowman that her grandaddy had worked so hard to build her!

poor, poor Frosty

so back outside for snowman #2 - this time out the back door where the only real danger for the snowman would be the dogs

poor granna didn't know she would have to play "clothes police" all day and was my saving grace - if you have a child that is very selective about their clothes then I don't need to explain further and if you don't have such child, go ahead and get on your hands and knees and thank the big man upstairs!

wade came home early and got suited up for the snow!

the wind up

GOT HIM!!!

just like they say, "neither rain, neither sleet" NOR snow I guess!"

look at my hubby just beaming at me....."what's that you're saying sweetie??"

right.....never mind!!! he just wanted to throw a huge snowball at little ol' me and my defenseless camera!

he also threw snowballs for Hank to chase...Baxter doesn't chase any type of ball - he has issues.

and the only time Baxter "runs" is when he has (what I call) "moments" and runs around and around as fast as he can. Like I said, issues!

Snow Day #2 began with a beautiful sunrise - we don't see this often - meaning the snow of course!

kate and lucy demanded that they were not going to be stuck inside again and so we let them play on the porch for about five minutes!

this is the closest contact that they got to the actual snow

the snow came, it went and we never lost power! good times, good times!
